New Office Digs and Other Stuff

Boy oh boy, where do I begin?

OK, let’s start off with some new stuff. We’ve re-arragned the office at work. It’s now pretty zen. We’ve got some speakers on the walls, got rid of an ugly ass book case and cleared out a TON of crap paper work. It’s now pretty pleasant to work in here.

Since we have hardwire networks, we’ve got cables nicely tacked on the floor boards and taped to the floors. In my head, I’ve refereed to the technique as “perling-the-coord”.

Next up, Acrylis. We’ve got an old friend from high school that’s doing some real estate work. We’re in the early stages, be we’re seeing if we may be able to secure some preliminary work with her. I’ve got to discuss some details about the business and product, but I’ve got high hopes.

Some other personal news, I’ve managed to get on some anti-depression medication. But, before I discuss how I’m doing or how I feel, I’d first like to take a stab at the words, anti-depression. People read these words, but really see “anti-sadness”, instead of what it actually is, “pro-feeling-rationality”.

I wasn’t sad, but I was experiencing the oddest damn mood swings ever. The best way I can explain it is — have you ever been somewhere and known that you should be having a killer time, but instead you’re anxious or upset or blah? That’s depression. It sucks to feel crappy when you know you should be feeling great or vise versa. So anyway, my brain’s in check again. Which is awesome, because I’m regaining motivation and focus. I’ve known I’ve always been a little ADD, but now I have no excuse to not make a shit load of money.

Let’s see, wedding. Wedding plans are moving along. We’re less than a month away. I’m stoked. Because of my new found rationality, I can actually experience all the joy of this occasion. It’s killer. I’m looking forward to being with Melissa for ever and ever and raising a spawn child who will hopefully grow up to enjoy all the video games I love as well as sick humor from a bunch of guys I trust near and dear.

Other than that, there’s the update. Quite a change from what you’ve been seeing around here, huh?
